But Hung Country almost didn’t get made!

With another story idea in mind and a tentative cast in place about a month before shooting, Chris Steele and I toured a local studio to map out the sets for the production. We were looking for a spare, industrial look. Instead, what we found was a country bar, complete with hay on the floor that had been leftover from a previous (straight) adult shoot. Disappointed, I looked over at Chris, only to see a gleam in eyes that scared me! In seconds, our old story and cast were out, and in came a new story and a new cast. What remained? One terrified first time writer--me!

Chris and I talked about the basic story structure, and I sat down to write it. And out it came, all within a few hours! What you see on the screen is almost word for word what I wrote, including Dylan’s narration, which is placed nicely over some amazing B-roll shot by Ross Cannon and Chris Steele in desert country. And then of course there is the SEX, which is dirty, nasty, sweaty and “can’t-take-your-eyes-off-it” hot! You’re going to want this DVD for your porn collection.

A few weeks ago, Jet Set released the first in a new series of DVDs directed by GAYVN Hall of Fame Director Chad Donovan under our Latin Heat label, famous for showcasing the hottest men of Latin and South America.

BAILANDO TANGO, Spanish for “dancing the tango”, stars Max Schutler (Mr. Gay Argentina), who is familiar to Jet Set Men fans from his performance as a rough ‘n rugged fireman in the Donovan/Chris Steele blockbuster On Fire!.

According to Director, there are at least two breakout performances in the movie. The first comes from Juan Pablo, a big-dicked, dark haired hunky South American jock who will also be seen in Donovan’s already-completed The Boys of Buenos Aires, due in July.

The other breakout performance comes from a model named simply Lucas, “a muscled South American God,” according to Director Donovan “who knows how to show off for the camera.” For those who like what they see, Donovan hints that this may not be the last time we see Lucas: “I have a feeling that we’ll be offering viewers a lot more of Lucas in future releases.”

Indeed, Donovan’s tropical heat wave will continue through at least two additional releases. The veteran performer-turned director has just returned from Argentina, where he filmed a new Latin Heat title, as well as Missionary in Argentina, a Jet Set Men production starring Texan Rod Daily, who was profiled in this space last week. Daily can also be seen in Ass Cruisin’ With Aaron James (now available) and Hung Country for Young Men (due June 23), both from Jet Set Men.

I was inspired by the great work of the straight porn director Jules Jordan to do a movie focused on butts, both because it’s a fun idea and because ass movies are strangely hard to come by in the gay porn world.

Once I decided on the theme, then the most important decisions would be about casting. I knew I needed a star that would be insatiable in his appetite for butt. Ass Cruisin’ with Aaron James begins—and ends (literally that is)—with butt.

Once I decided on the theme, then the most important decisions would be about casting. I knew I needed a star that would be insatiable in his appetite for butt. I knew I needed someone who would be verbal and would have personality to dominate a full 90 minute + movie AND the stamina to perform as many scenes as we needed to make a great film.

There was only once choice really—Jet Set Exclusive Aaron James.

At the time we cast the movie early in 2008, AJ (as we affectionately call him) was riding a high. He had just appeared at the AVN Adult Expo in Vegas a month before, was featured as a (totally erect!) trophy boy at the GAYVN Awards, and was only a week away from the worldwide stage of MTV’s True Life, where he was profiled as a gay-for-pay porn star.

With boy-next-door good looks and an appetite for sex that is, well, unending, AJ was the perfect choice for the lead role, so much so that we added his name to the title! Now all we needed was for him to deliver—and deliver he did!

One fact says it all: Aaron James appears in every one of the five scenes in this movie. Every scene! Now, granted, he doesn’t shoot his load in every scene, nor is he always around throughout the whole scene, but(t), he gamely jumps in and out as he sees fit, with a butt lick here, a smack there and a blow job there.

And does shoot 2 big loads for the cameras, once with street boy Wolf Hudson, who turns the tables on him, forcing AJ to bottom, and second when he fucks Riley Burke in the kitchen, only to have Jesse Santana (in his second scene in the movie) wander in and pounce on Riley. AJ ends up on top, fucking Jesse.

AJ did a terrific job, as did all the other cast members, including fellow Jet Set Exclusive Jesse Santana, who pulled off the amazing feat of performing in 2 scenes, both filmed the same day!

Now that’s what I call dedication!
